For retaining slopes or defining the edges of planting areas or lawns, rockeries are more natural looking than wall blocks and more permanent than timbers. Many different colors, textures and sizes of rocks are available. In addition to being solid and stable, my rockery work was attractive, with gentle curves and flat, even fronts and tops.
